HIEBS Monthly Economic Policy Workshop (via Zoom)
Ms. Ellie Tang, Head of Sustainability at New World Development Company Limited and K11 Concepts Limited, will first share her views on the topic of “Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Integration in Real Estate”, followed by an open discussion among participants moderated by Professor Heiwai Tang, Associate Director of HIEBS.
About the Speaker – Ms. Ellie Tang
Ellie Tang is currently Head of Sustainability at New World Development Company Limited and K11 Concepts Limited, where she founded the function and drives the “New World Sustainability Vision 2030” across the Group’s businesses in Hong Kong and mainland China, leads sustainable financing initiatives, and oversees Nature Discovery Park at K11 MUSEA. Ellie also co-founded Impact Kommons, Asia’s first UN Sustainable Development Goals-focused startup accelerator. She is an appointed member of the Environmental Campaign Committee and the Green Tech Fund Assessment Committee of the HKSAR Government.
Ellie’s experience covers sustainability strategy and planning, environmental management, ESG reporting, carbon credit project development, and investor engagement. She was previously the Asia Pacific Coordinator of the “HSBC Water Programme” – a global USD100m partnership with governments and NGOs to improve access to fresh water and sanitation, relevant policy support, and community livelihoods.
Ellie holds a Master of Public Administration in Environmental Science and Policy from Columbia University, U.S. A holistic sustainability practitioner, Ellie is also a certified health coach and a WELLBuilding Standard® Accredited Professional.
